Had Enough Preaching From the Campaign
Podium?
This campaign is currently inactive.LET SENATOR JOSEPH LIEBERMAN KNOW THAT YOU SUPPORT THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, FREEDOM FROM RELIGION, AND A PLACE FOR NON-BELIEVER AMERICANS IN THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS! Updated October 26, 2000 In late August, Democratic Vice Presidential hopeful Joseph Lieberman -- an Orthodox Jew -- told a church audience in Detroit that it was time for Americans to "reaffirm our faith and renew the dedication of our nation and ourselves to God and God's purposes. He also suggested, "The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, not from religion."
Lieberman has done it again, though. On Tuesday, October 24, Lieberman told an audience at Nortre Dame University that religious groups should have a wider role in the public square, and he again declared, "The Constitution promises freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. We are, after all not just another nation, but 'one nation under God.'" IT'S TIME FOR JOE LIEBERMAN TO HEAR FROM ATHEISTS AND OTHER PEOPLE-OF-NO-FAITH NOW! American Atheists is urging all Atheists and others -- non-believers, skeptics, agnostics, rationalists, whatever -- to contact Mr. Lieberman now!
