AMERICAN ATHEISTS ANNOUNCES 50TH ANNIVERSARY LOGO DESIGN CONTEST

Cranford, NJ, July 30, 2012 – As American Atheists prepare to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in Austin, TX, March 28-31, 2013, the organization announced today a contest to design the 50th anniversary logo. The winning designer will receive a $250 cash prize and an on-stage introduction at the convention by American Atheists President, David Silverman.

Mr. Silverman stated, “Next year’s convention is an especially significant event. Not only do we celebrate another year of atheist activism, but also we celebrate 50 years of outreach in the United States!” Silverman continued, “Whoever designs the winning logo earns a spot in the history of American Atheists.”

The logo must contain the following elements to be eligible for consideration: American Atheists logo, the number ‘50’, and the anniversary slogan, Fifty Years of Reason.

The deadline for logo submissions is August 15, 2012. All designs should be emailed in JPEG format to: [email protected]. All materials submitted become the property of American Atheists, Inc.
