If you are an Atheist who is currently preaching the Gospel in a church somewhere, or a closet Atheist, then this blog is for you. If you’re a charismatic minister then I’m going to read your mail and you will understand me in a way that the majority of the Atheists who read this blog will not. If you are not religious, you may find this personal story both tragic and/or moving. Some of you will hate me, but after reading this, most of you will understand exactly where my passion for our movement comes from. Victory for the Dallas-Fort Worth Coalition of Reason

On March 25th, 2012 at the American Atheists’ Convention in Washington, DC, I was approached by Alix Jules from the Dallas-Fort Worth Coalition of Reason. The DFW-CoR had a signed contract with Screenvision, who does the on-screen advertising for The Movie Tavern, to run an image of their new billboard before movies. At the last minute The Movie Tavern’s PR people decided not to allow the advertisement. Alix was justifiably upset at the blatant discrimination.
