Hello all,

I just wanted to thank those 7 brave people who, with me, protested the NDOP using state property and elected officials to push prayer on everyone in the state.

We had a good time and the weather was great. 3tv interviewed Phil and myself. I watched channel 3 all afternoon and evening and did not see anything about the NDOP.

One man came over from the other side and stated that we should read the actual words of our founding fathers and we would know that they wanted christianity as the religion of America. I stated that I had read many books on our founding fathers and their words. He stated that he did not beleive me. I stated that I happen to have a couple of the books in my truck and after the event I would be glad to show him the books. He stated "ah hell, probably written by atheists" and then he went back to the other side.

Several elected officials came by and stated that they support us. One even stated that even though he is an East Valley religious republican, he agreed that state and church must be kept separate. For those of you not familiar with the Valley of the Sun, the East Valley is loaded with mormons.

I hope that more Atheists, all over the country, will start feeling that it is okay to publicly state their opposition to religion using the government to push their beliefs onto everyone.
