An Introduction To Freethought CD-ROM
|
When Emmett Fields publishes "An Introduction", he's not talking about
a 50-page primer. He means 26 great Freethought works. The second
Bank Of Wisdom CD-ROM includes:
- 400 Years of Freethought by Samuel P. Putnam. Undoubtedly the
most important book in this collection. Published in 1894, it is one of
the best views of the progress of Freethought, and is a very
rare book. This is a BIG book, with over 140 historical portraits.
- The Age of Reason by Thomas Paine. Originally published in
1794, no other book has been more successful in leading people
out of superstition.
- A Biographical Dictionary of Freethinkers by J.M. Wheeler.
A rare and important work that gives some small idea of the number
of famous people who have freed themselves from superstitious fears.
- My Belief by Luther Burbank.
The great and kindly genius of plants, Mr. Luther Burbank, saw the harm
that superstition does to individuals and to the world.
- Analysis of Religious Belief (2 vols) by Viscount Amberley.
- The Bible, A Dangerous Guide by Marshall J. Gauvin.
- The World's 16 Crucified Saviors by Kersey Graves.
- Titles by: John E. Remsburg, J.M. Robertson, George Jacob Holyoake,
L.K. Washburn, Marie Jean Gavau, D.M. Bennett,
G.W. Foote, Ross E. Browne, Ludwig Feuerbach, Maria M. Ricker.
Also included is a beautifully illuminated Pledge Of Allegience with
the original wording. The version reproduced here is printed on an
insert in the CD-ROM's jewel case. In digital format on the CD-ROM itself
is an even more ornate version; suitable for printing (in color preferrably,
but looks good in black and white as well).
To prominently display this
undesecrated Pledge is to say to the world; .I am a true American...
