Moving On to the Next Project!

BlairScott /

We want to thank everyone for sharing their opinions with us about the "Slaves, Obey Your Masters" billboard. While we certainly respect the opinions of those who disagree with our tactics, we respectfully disagree with that opinion. We are unapologetic about the billboard and stand behind it 100%. There will be no apology from American Atheists for saying what needed to be said: sometimes the truth is offensive.

By all means, continue to talk about it and hash it out among yourselves, but we have said all there is to say on the issue and will say no more.

We are moving on to our next project and look forward to putting up more billboards!

Thank you for your support!

Hi,

I applaud all of the billboards you've posted thus far and can't wait to see the next.

As you know, however, some atheists are speaking out against such messages (and against their own interest IMNSHO). I was wondering if you might consider posting a message everyone can get behind. Certainly this suggestion would not be for the PA Year of the Bible issue. But, would you consider posting the Epicurean Dillemma?

I was thinking it could be posted in the style of the old Burma Shave billboards if funding allows. Perhaps it would be good to break it up onto billboards as follows, leaving the reader hanging for the next billboard after each, just a thought.

Billboard 1:

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?

Billboard 2:

Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing?

Billboard 3:

Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing?

Billboard 4:

Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing?

Billboard 5:

Then why call him God?

Billboard 6:

Atheism: The rational choice since 300 BCE.

Oy. Sorry for the bad formatting. I'm not used to the new site yet. So far, I prefer the old. Perhaps it's just a resistance to change.

I must agree with Misanthropic, I like the old No God Blog site far better. The new site is very disappointing. Not easy to follow or find posts.

I appreciated the old format and posted regularly, the new format has kept me away and will until it is more user friendly. I hope you will consider revising the Blog as hopefully you will notice many of the regulars have stayed away.

As an atheist I appreciate your efforts and activism, but the new blog is severely lacking.

Regards.
