OK Here's a new idea -- let's see if it works.

This thread is to ADVERTISE a product or service to Atheists. It's free and experimental. No discussion here (unless you believe an ad is fake), just people posting businesses and perhaps a special discount to NGB members.

For those of you living in the western half of the US, my offer is still good if you would like a DVD of Richard Dawkin's atheist documentary for the BBC "The Root Of All Evil." The video quality isn't perfect, but it is certainly viewable and I even took the time to create a chapter menu.

Spanders would never doubt that I support all - but a certain guy with a handle beginning with P - is welcome, too.

FWIW - I once took on Walmart in a town that had just repealed their Blue Laws - they fired a Baptist who would not work on the sabbath. Pure Title VII - discrimination based upon religion. Walmart refused to settle - until we selected the jury - and every one of the 6 (federal civil juries are 6 +1 alternate) was a member of a pretty fringe protestant sect - They caved before my opening.

I guess that I can offer proofreading services to anyone who needs it for term papers or anything written really. (Luckily I'm free.) I won't write the paper for you, but I can make sure that the ideas flow, that the words are used correctly and many other things. I can't promise perfection though.

If anyone has any mechanical drafting/engineering needs, I do 2D (AutoCAD), 3D (SolidWorks & Pro-Engineer) and Finite Element Analysis (Pro-Mechanica) on the side.

would you be able to review some dxf and dwg files for me? I purchased AutoCAD 2006 and have been trying to convert Illustrator EPS files to CAD files. I've been going back and forth with an architect (the audience this is intended for) who is telling me the scale is off and DIST command isn't working properly. Another one is telling me it's fine.

These are all for mouldings. I create moulding catologs (among other things) and the next step has been for me to take the vector files I've been creating in Illustrator, running them through CADmover (http://www.kandusoftware.com/products/windows/cadmover.html) and checking them in AutoCad. We're trying to make sure it's compatible with the 2000 version of AutoCad. Anyway, if you would be willing to look at it, I'll send you 6 or 7 fairly simple CAD files. imaskeptic, JCC and I were having a conversation about when life begins on the "Coat Hangers" thread. Care to add your input there? He's suggesting that life does, in fact, begin at conception based on specific medical criteria. I'm outside my element when it comes to science and medicine, so any input would be appreciated. I don't want to divert this thread, so if you care to comment, the coathangers thread is probaby the best place.

It will become listed on Amazon and the usual outlets in the coming weeks. Don't buy it if you're looking for a book "about Atheism", the relevant content makes up probably less than one percent. However it was written by an Atheist (AA life member) who does not conceal his Atheism. What it is about . . . well, the title and subtitle say just about all.
