Utah Republican's Satan Influence on Immigrants Tabled By Convention

Utah County Republicans ended their convention on Saturday by debating Satan's influence on illegal immigrants. Is Don Larsen an embarrassment to the Republican Party when he tried to propose a resolution "warning that Satan's minions want to eliminate national borders and do away with sovereignty."

Now the Crazy Religious Conservatives (CRC)have found a brand new bogey man, the illegal alien. And guess what? They also control the media. Our poor media. I thought the Jews controlled the media. I thought the godless secularist controlled the media. I thought the Hollywood liberals controlled the media. Now I find out it is the guy who mows my lawn. Shit. I wish they (the CRCs) would get their act straight and tell us once and for all who is behind the New World Order.

Mitt Romney must not become the president!

I was raised LDS (mormon). I don't know if anyone else here knows about the mormon prophesy of the three prophets, and the second coming christ. The prophesy says that three prophets (probably members of the qourum of the twelve apostles) will lie dead in the streets of Israel for three days immediatly before the second coming of christ (during armaggeddon)

What concerns me is that three of the apostles currently in the quorm of the twelve claimed they recieved personal prophesy via patriarchical blessing and were told that this was their destiny.

Mormons now literally believe that that the "end time" is upon us. I believe Mitt Romney (as a mormon) shares this belief, and is running for president to make it happen (self fulfilling prophesy)

To put mormons in charge of the military at this dangerous time will have dire consequences. HE MUST NOT LEAD! HIS DELUSIONS WILL ENDANGER US ALL!

Larsen is an embarassment to more than just the Republican Party with his warning about Satan's minions.

The sad thing is the number of idiots who will support this stupid idea and believe it to be true.

I hope the fact that 30 or so delegates left before the vote was a quiet statement as to the stupidity of the issue.

The impression I got from the article is that the Rethugs are floundering and reeling about like Keystone Kops.

And it was delightful that this appeared almost at the end of the story:

Shurtleff said that while Americans are divided on the war in Iraq, Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson should not refer to President Bush as a war criminal.

So as a Mexican, female, immigrant, atheist...I am demonized ten-fold...Will they make me wear a yellow star or confess my racial impurity or shove me into a megachurch and am I a potential threat to these United States??? ...Amerika???? The Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo...makes you wonder about historical legalities...Just a thought, not an argument...I've argued this point before....
