Howdy! I'm Joe Zamecki, Texas State Director for American Atheists, and I'm doing Atheist activism here in the Lone Star State, from Austin, our capital city. If you find state/church separation violations near you, infringements of Atheist civil rights, or just need to communicate with a proud Atheist, please contact me.

Recent activism I've been involved with includes:

- the Perry/AFA Picket in Houston on August 6.

- a one person picket of the Texas State Board of Education, in regards to their recent short-lived attempt to insert creationism into public school science classes.

- the yearly picket of the National Day of Prayer event at the state capitol building in Austin.

- the Tax the Churches! picket project at the state capitol building in Austin.

I'd like to visit all of the groups in Texas that are affiliated with American Atheists. If you need a speaker, I'm ready. I'm planning to go to the Reason Rally in March, and I'll be bringing around 100 picket signs. Texas must be well represented at that great event!
