Jessica was raised Catholic in a small, rural town in Ohio. She earned a BS from Ohio University followed by an MS from Howard University in Washington, DC. She practiced as a pediatric speech language pathologist evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment services to children with disabilities in southern Connecticut before moving to California. She is an active member of the Atheist Community of San Jose as well as other local humanist and skeptic groups. Jessica is committed to advocating for science, reason, critical thinking, progressive intersectional activism, and the separation of religion and government.
